Cast Spotlight - Zoë Hunter Black

Zoë Hunter trained at Central School of Speech and Drama and holds a law degree from Glasgow University. She was a founder member of Unpacked theatre company with whom she wrote, devised, performed and toured for 10 years. Her work as a performer ranges from theatre, devising collaborations, video games, to film and tv, including voice overs for Sony Games; playing Tiger Lilly in National Theatre of Scotland’s Peter Pan directed by John Tiffany,Anthony Neilson’s Alice in Wonderland, and starring in BBC’s Scottish BAFTA winning Last Commanders. Recently she directed a film about protest called Speak Up for the Duke’s Theatre Lancaster–collaborating with film makers Baptiste Charles (Raindance) and Harvey Puttock. In recent years she has begun writing her own material and she won a place on the BellRock Screenwriting residency, mentored by Ian Sellar and run by Olivia Stewart. Her feature length screenplay HEAVY is currently in development.

She is proud Mum to four-year-old Saorsa and two year-old Juno who are both inspiration, companions and amusing/regular interruptions to her work as an artist.
